Biography

Dr Stephane Bergeron, MD,

President and CEO

Dr. Stephane Bergeron, president and chief executive officer (CEO) with Brain Center International (BCI), is an internationally known physician, lecturer and entrepreneur. He has been involved for more than 20 years with neuroscience, supporting advances in the field and helping develop training programs that improve cognitive function and brain performance.

A graduate of Laval University’s medical school in Québec, Dr. Bergeron has practiced medicine at Canadian hospitals for more than 10 years. Soon after entering the medical profession, Dr. Bergeron quickly rose to the position of Department Head of the Family Medicine Teaching Unit and Director of the Emergency Department at both the “Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Québec” (CHUQ) andCentre Hospitalier de l'Université Laval” (CHUL), two top university health centers in Canada.

Dr. Bergeron, who actively supports his colleagues’ professional development, has accepted invitations to speak at more than 300 conferences, presentations and seminars throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.

In conjunction with his medical career, Dr. Bergeron is a successful entrepreneur. He created and currently heads a computer company as well as a laser hair-removal enterprise that quickly became the industry leader in America. Two of his companies were listed on the stock exchange, and he served as chairman of an innovative international medical equipment company in France and Canada.

One of Dr. Bergeron’s companies developed a medical device that helps patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. As a result, he keeps in close touch with those affected by the disease, their families, and the organizations that support them. He also has established strong relationships worldwide with many leading physicians, research scientists and political decision-makers dealing with Alzheimer’s.

Dr. Jean-Philippe Marquis, Ph.D.

Scientific director

Dr. Jean-Philippe Marquis, PhD, is scientific director with Brain Center International (BCI). A graduate of Laval University’s School of Psychology and specialist clinical and fundamental neuroscience, Dr. Marquis developed his expertise at the “Institut de Réadaptation en Déficience Physique de Québec,” a rehabilitation center affiliated with his alma mater. He has worked with the Robert-Giffard Research Center and maintains scientific collaboration with the School of Psychology at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.


A regular contributor to specialized scientific journals, Dr. Marquis is a psychologist and member of the “Ordre des Psychologues du Québec.”

 

Isabelle Dubé, BBA, MBA (c)

Vice-president


Isabelle Dubé, vice-president with Brain Center International (BCI) is an expert in international business. Ms. Dubé put her talents and abilities to work for public and private firms in the United States and Canada before joining BCI and Brain Center America (BCA). A graduate of Québec’s Bishop’s University, she currently is completing a master’s in business administration (MBA) degree in international management at Laval University.

 

Eric Périgny, BAA, MBA

Vice-President - Sales and Business Development

Eric Périgny,  vice president with Brain Center International (BCI), has successfully handled marketing and sales initiatives with multinational corporations in new technologies. He has also launched a range of companies, and his latest success is in the paramedical domain.

Mr. Périgny received a master’s in business administration (MBA) degree at the HEC of Montréal and a bachelor’s degree at Université du Québec in Trois-Rivières.

 

Carola Monge, Bsc, MBA

Vice-President - Hispanic Markets.

Carola Monge, vice-president of Hispanic markets with Brain Center International (BCI), possesses impressive business experience and a profound knowledge of Hispanic markets in Europe as well as in North and South America.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in medical biochemistry, she completed a biochemist training course in Valencia, Spain, followed by a healthcare marketing and business development program in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Most recently, Ms. Monge received a master’s in business administration (MBA) degree at Québec’s Laval University.

Since 2005, she has been active as business development director for companies operating in the fields of health and information technology in Spain and Latin America, several of which are now quoted on the stock market. She was also largely responsible for establishing a stock exchange subsidiary in Madrid, Spain, and has led many commercial endeavors in Latin America.
